I grew up on Chicago’s North Shore, doodling in the margins of every piece of homework I ever worked on, and drawing team logos and jerseys in my spare time. I attended Franklin & Marshall College for two years, as a member of the Lacrosse and Football teams, majoring in Fine Arts. I then transferred to Columbia College Chicago, finishing there with a BFA in Graphic Design. While at Columbia, I started an internship with the Chicago Sun-Times and remained there as a part-time worker until I graduated from college and began working there full time. I attended the Starter League to learn web development and found that I enjoyed coding and the challenge of problem-solving through the building of a website. I am currently the Director of Brand Creative and Digital for the Athletics Department at the University of California, Berkeley. Go Bears! I continue to learn new skills at UC Berkeley Extension, most recently taking Effective Leadership and Management, to go with previous classes in social media strategy and traditional marketing.
I currently live in San Francisco, CA, with my fiancee. I am a fan of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bears, Cubs and Bulls, and Northwestern Football. I race on sailboats, run races (5k–Half Marathons), and go to baseball games all summer. In winter, I ski as much as possible. When not involved in sports, I can be found at concerts, festivals, art museums, hiking, or trying a new beer.
